Mexico

Foundation date: 1986

We are a grain of sand in the middle of a great country full of contrasts, where people with disabilities still live isolated in their homes and their rights are not recognised. To have a community like L’Arche is amazing; our neighbours love to see us together, when we go for walks, to our swimming lessons, to do our shopping, to listen to music, to have fun and to celebrate life. It has a very positive impact on our society to see a group of people who love each other, who forgive each other, who are good neighbours, who help each other in times of need and who invite others to share their lives with us in joy and in sorrow. This is the true wealth of our community.
