L’Arche in Argentina is increasingly recognised as offering a working alternative model in the field of care for people with intellectual disabilities: two-way care. The L’Arche model is first and foremost based on celebration of the individual person: each is celebrated as a person with unique potential and so given the support they need to develop their unique talents, something almost impossible to achieve in the large-scale institutional model.
