Bangladesh

Foundation date: 2002

The community of L’Arche in Bangladesh, may be small in size, but is large in their energy, generosity and impact: apart from making candles, greeting cards, bookmarks, embroidery, bracelets and other beaded items, community members with and without an intellectual disability, make home visits to families supporting children and adults with disabilities, giving them confidence and practical skills. This has greatly helped the community to feel accepted by the neighborhood.

To be a part of the community means to make journey together through sharing our lives, working together, eating together, praying together, celebrating together etc.
