From the streets of Mymensingh

In a single word, L’Arche is about relationship: that place of secure love, where each person is cherished as exceptional, with their own matchless story, and unique gifts to unlock and share. And yet, for many people, this remains an impossible dream.
For people like Rohim, aged 9, and Sofia Appa, whose ‘home’ was a street of their town, Mymensingh in Bangladesh- a dangerous place for anyone, let alone anyone with an intellectual disability. You can read their full stories here, in the L’Arche Mymensingh newsletter.
It is all about finding home, a story where for once, the unvoiced question that had dogged their lives finds an answer: “Why is there no place for me? Why does no-one care about me?”
