Innovation, resilience and outreach have been the hallmarks of L’Arche in Ukraine from the word go. As the first L’Arche community to begin just with workshops, rather than shared houses, they have always adapted to meet local needs.

Their respite house offers a week-long breaks to local people with an intellectual disability, and they also give valuable input to trainee Social Workers at the local university.

Community is a foundation on which one can lean. This is a place where I nourish my spirituality. Here I form myself as an individual, and to be open to others.
