Recognizing the limits of their previous accommodation, a few years ago, L’Arche in Brazil courageously invested in new premises. This decision was in tune with the community’s long-term investment in people, with and without a disability. Members can now enjoy a stroll through the forest, marvelling at nature’s abundance: flowering trees, playful monkeys, and exotic birds.

And the benefits extend far beyond the live-in members of L’Arche. Their day program impacts broadly on persons with intellectual disabilities in the region, especially on those who are otherwise isolated due to their economic situation.

Over the last 28 years, we have had difficulties and joys, but we have always found friendship, true relationships, (...) and other great gifts. These gifts invite you to stay and always remember.
