Foundation date: 1988

The L’Arche community in the Philippines is called Punla, meaning ‘Seed.’

L’Arche Punla lives both simply and resiliently.  Local conditions present real challenges, but year after year the community continues to live the mission of L’Arche, trusting that God will not abandon His work.  The community would like to welcome new Assistants and financial partners into the vision and mission.

I was abandoned by my biological family, but I belong to this community now, where I receive love, care and guidance from other people; they are my family.

Mariflor, core member who's been in the community for 16 years
