Supporting the Federation
An organisation would not work without a minimum of administration. The International Secretariat in Paris offers administrative support to Federation activities and the Federation’s members. It is responsible for the organisation of international meetings, provides advice and counselling to zones and communities on administrative, financial and legal matters, and manages the Federation’s finances.
The Secretariat liaises with Foundations and other organisations, such as the European community and assures the good functioning of the Federation.
With a new mission statement in place, one of the major work fields is now the structure of the Federation. A rapidly increasing number of members underlines the need for a revision of the existing constitution, the current governing scheme and the Federation's authority structures. Human resources need to be allocated to emerging functions and a continuity needs to be ensured by the Federation's headquarters if expertise and know-how are to be built up.
