Jean-Christophe Pascal, International Coordinator

Jean-Christophe Pascal was born in 1952 in Lille, France as the eldest of seven children. He arrived in L’Arche Trosly in 1973 right after school and military service. He is married to Zizi Eudes, a Canadian painter and illustrator, who came to L’Arche Trosly in 1969. The couple has three daughters and two grand-sons.

upon his arrival in Montreal in 1976. From 1978 to 1983 he was a member of the community in St Malachie, Quebec, where he was responsible for the farm. Previous to his nomination as International Coordinator in 1999, he had assumed the roles of the Community Leader of L’Arche Agapé in Hull, the Regional Coordinator in Québec and the Zone Coordinator for Canada.

“Son, husband of Zizi, father of three girls and grand-father of two boys, Jean-Christophe, our International Coordinator carries all these people in his heart. His professional career, his education …, I cannot remember. For him, the essential is not to spread out his career, but to show his love for the human being, for God and to remind us to remain rooted in our world. Well-informed about the happenings of this world, he dreams and his dreams make us work! Indeed, our coordinator is a strenuous worker who firmly believes that L’Arche has a role to play in our world today.” (Isabelle Robert, former regional Coordinator, Quebec)
